Clinical Psychologists are specially trained to evaluate, diagnose, and treat nervous, emotional, and mental disorders, adjustment problems, and the psychological aspects of injury and disease. They are licensed by the California Board of Psychology, and must have earned a doctorate degree in psychology from an approved university or professional school of psychology. In addition, they have been trained in hospitals, clinics, and other health care facilities for a period ranging from two to five or more years.
